In Ilm-e-Jafar one has to do bil-qhaas maratib
of the numerical while doing certain amals.
For doing so one should separate all the
numbers of a numerical and then add them
up. Finally their equivalent alphabet should
be found from the chart.
For example if one has to bil-qhaas maratib of
877:
8+7+7=22
Now if we look at the abjad chart,

ﺏ 2=
words ﮎ , ﺏ

What Is Ilm-e-Jafar
Ilm-e-jafar is a branch of knowledge which is
based on the numerical values of alphabets.
Each letter in the Arabic abjad/alphabets has
been assigned a numerical value. On the basis
of these values
numerous calculations can be done. In order
to gain mastery over ilm-e-hafar it is essential
to know the
abjad and their numerical values as well. The
6th Imam, Abdullah Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) was
a great scholar
and the founder of this branch of knowledge.
Ilm-e-jafar implies knowledge of Jafar. This

knowledge can be used to unravel the
